It was a beehive of activities at the country home of Prof Seidu Onailo Mohammed in Abejukolo - Ife Omala local government area of Kogi state as he played host to key stakeholders and executive members of the All Progressives Peoples Congress, APC, in Kogi State.

The thanksgiving celebration organized in honour of President Muhammadu Buhari and members of APC who triumphed in the last concluded general elections witnessed the presence of party stakeholders and executives from the 21 local government areas in the state.

Speaking at the event, Prof Seidu thanked members of the party for their commitment and zeal displayed before and during the polls.

He urged the newly elected party faithfuls to ensure accountability in leadership because according to him the need to propel Kogi state to a greater height is a collective effort.

In his words "we can build the Kogi state of our dreams by uniting prudent effort to work together as a team without rancour.

"We all worked for President Muhammadu Buhari's victory and I want to use this medium to appreciate the zeal of Hadi Ametou, our indefatigable party chairman for serving as a unifying factor and a big team player.

"Winning election is not the biggest feat but accountability in office should be a watchword for all members of our party who emerged victorious at the polls," he advised.

Responding to the gesture, top brass of party executives present at the event applauded Prof Seidu Onailo Mohammed for his humanitarian efforts and empowerment scheme which cuts across the entirety of Kogi state. Party members unanimously agreed to work together for the development of Kogi state in anticipation of the November gubernatorial election in the state.
